What does a St Blazey Retail Volunteer do?
The role of the St Blazey Retail Volunteer is varied and interesting. If you are ready to price clothes for selling, steam garments that have been kindly donated, and put fresh new stock out in our shop we would love to hear from you soon.
St Blazey retail volunteering will also include serving our great customers and selling Cornwall Hospice Care lottery tickets which all helps to support the local community in St Blazey and surrounding areas.
If you’d rather be in the back room preparing donations for the shop floor that’s also great. What you do as a volunteer in our St Blazey shop may vary in relation to the time you are available to offer us, but we are keen to add you to our existing and friendly local team.
St Blazey Retail Volunteering can include
- Serving on the till
- Welcoming and helping our customers
- Processing Gift Aid donations
- Hanging, sizing, ticketing and steaming our clothing for the shop floor
- Restocking shelves and rails
- Keeping the shop displays fresh and interesting
- Promoting our Cornwall Hospice Care Lottery
St Blazey Retail Volunteer commitment
We are keen to recruit new St Blazey volunteers for Friday and Saturday mornings and afternoons. Usual hours would be 9.30am -1.00pm and 1.00pm-4.30pm.
We however offer a flexible and responsive volunteering environment and would be delighted if you can volunteer with us, and ideal commitment is weekly or fortnightly, but do just talk to us about what you can offer.
Training and Induction
Retail volunteers are asked to attend training and induction activity prior to beginning their volunteering. There are some mandatory training sessions to complete with our support.
